It’s that time of year again, when Rye goes scallop crazy for the annual Rye Bay Scallop Festival. On the early evening of Wednesday 6th February we have a scallop-themed happy hour in the Tap bar with a special musical accompaniment.
Come along between 6 to 7pm for a half-price pint of “Scallop Top” from Old Dairy Brewery or for those who fancy a cocktail, a half-priced Maritime Margarita.
Then get ready to be entertained by Tony Pape and his Young Georgians choir which starts at 6.30pm – a group of young local students aged 9-12 who will be singing a selection of hymns and songs, all with a maritime theme.
And don’t forget we’ll also be serving extra scallop items on our Grill menu during Festival week, including:
Pan-fried Rye Bay Scallops with pea purée and cured quail egg yolk, and
Moroccan-spiced scallops with couscous
