Q. Do you have a one wedding per day policy?
A. That’s right. In fact we have a one wedding per weekend policy!
Q. Is the venue exclusive use?
A. Yes – the building and land are exclusive to you for your two night stay.
Q. When can we access the venue?
A. For a Saturday wedding, the venue is accessible for suppliers from the Wednesday. You can then have full access for your two night stay from 10am on the Friday.
Q. What time do we have to leave by?
A. You and any guests have to leave by 2pm on the day of departure. The marquee etc will then be removed by the suppliers the next day.
Q. Who tidies up?
A. You do. You also have to remove the bulk of your rubbish from your wedding by taking it with you or hiring a small skip. Alternatively you can ask your suppliers to take it with them but not all will.
Q. Is there an option for dinner the night before?
A. Yes, you hire the venue for two nights so you can use it as you wish the night before your ceremony.
Q. Is there an outdoor space?
A. Our pretty walled garden is included with the Coach House which can be used for a marquee and outdoor games. You also get the rest of the grounds for photographs.
Q.Are there special reductions for off-peak days and months?
A. Yes please contact us for details.
Q. Where can guests park their cars?
A. We have onsite parking for approximately 70 vehicles.
Q. Which rooms are licensed for ceremonies?
A. The central Atrium which can seat approximately 100 guests.

Q. Is there access to electricity outside?
A. Yes, but if you are having a marquee and toilets outside we recommend you hire a generator from the marquee company.
Q. Do we have to hire toilets?
A. Yes please, sadly our septic tanks will not be able to cope with the volume of people on site for a wedding.
Q. Is there water outside?
A. Yes there are several taps water can be accessed from.
Q. Is there outdoor lighting?
A. Yes, the walled garden has flood lights which are turned on for the evening.
Q. Can we hire our own caterer?
A. Our weddings allow you to be completely bespoke, whether you would like a 3 course sit down meal or a hog roast, you can choose the caterer to suit your needs.
Q. Do you provide a bar?
A. No. You need to hire a bar yourselves or provide your own alcohol.
Q. Do you charge a corkage fee?
A. No we don’t.
Q. Are you licensed to sell alcohol?
A. No, if you wish to have a bar selling alcohol, the bar will need to apply for a Temporary Events Notice from Flintshire Council. There is a £21 fee for this. They can apply here: https://www.flintshire.gov.uk/en/Business/Licences-and-permits/Temporary-event-notice.aspx
Q. How many guests can the Coach House sleep?
A. There are 4 bedrooms, sleeping a total of eight guests.
Q. Can we hire the main Hall for accommodation?
A. Yes, for an additional fee you can hire the main Hall for accommodation only, which sleeps 14 guests. You will also have to have security for the duration of the wedding to ensure no one other than the guests sleeping there enter the Hall.
Q. Is there any more accommodation nearby?

Q. Is there a lift/facilities/access for the elderly and disabled?
A. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the building there is no lift access to the first floor. We do have ramps which can be used on the ground floor. Please let us know if you have guests coming with mobility issues.
